Providing the community

There are an estimated 1.8 million homeless people in India, with 52% based in urban areas. A further 73 million families lack access to decent housing (IGH, 2018; Habitat, 2019).

Give the Gift of a Good Night's Sleep. You Can Help.

YBBI serves displaced men, women, and children 365 days a year through:

For those with no place to go or in need of emergency shelter, YBBI’s community centers provide a warm, safe place for men, women, and – whenever possible – families to stay.

Our transitional housing programs offer hope to the temporarily displaced, chronically homeless population, and many young adults. For those experiencing a recent eviction, domestic breakup, addiction issue, or any other housing crisis, our community center offers homeless individuals with food and lodging while equipping them with the resources and support needed to regain stability.

YBBI’s  housing services range from supportive facilities for the elderly and affordable housing programs for low-income seniors to apartment assistance for vulnerable young adults and dedicated living complexes for homeless adults and families. Across our thousands of local branches, we assist those on fixed incomes, those struggling to rise above the poverty line, and those fighting to give their kids a safe place to call home.

In addition to providing food and lodging, our centers offer educational support, counseling and vocational services to homeless people, destitute individuals and families, and vulnerable youth. Our dedicated on-site caseworkers equip clients to embrace responsibility, meet goals, and gain self-sufficiency. In fact, even after residents secure permanent housing, we continue to help them maintain stability via emergency food and utility assistance.

WE WELCOME ANYONE IN NEED

At YBBI, our doors are open every day – and night – of the year.  In addition to supplying shelter from the elements, beds, food, and basic hygiene resources to those in need, we help combat long-term homelessness in India by serving homeless adults, and children with holistic physical, emotional, and spiritual support.
